1. What is PEX re-pipe? Pex is a strong flexible re-pipe produst that last a long time.
2. Can re-pipe be done in Copper? Yes
3. Is the cost of Re-pipe more with copper than with PEX repipe? This depends on the structure and how large of a repipe job it is.
Galvanized pipes are prone to corrosion. In fact, after a couple of decades, these pipes can eventually become completely filled from corrosion, impeding or halting water flow. To maintain water flow, it is usually best to replace galvanized pipes “Re-Pipe“ with copper or PEX, a cross-linked polyethylene product that is durable, corrosion-resistant and freeze-resistant.
